Taiwan Association of University of British Columbia have just had an internal election on the evening of March 3rd. The 16th Senior exectives will now give their responsibilities to the 17th senior exectives. We thank you for your support last year, and we hope you will continue to support us in this upcoming year!

President: Hello everyone! I am Sheena Chyen. I am very honoured to be elected as University of British Columbia Taiwan Association's seventeenth President. This will be the first time we represent ourselves as UBCTA senior exectives to all of you. From now on to this time next year, we will do our very best in all services we provide. This year, UBCTA as a team has three goals: training and preparing student leaders, giving services, and information about school and communities. I sincerly wish this will be a joyful and accommodating year. If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me...

External Vice President: Hello everybody. My name is Niky Tu, the External Vice President of 17th UBCTA. I am in second year and majoring in Geography. In real life, my wandering mind often shows in my lack of words. I like to eat any dessert with red beans and to use my camera to take some weird but funny photos. In this coming year, I welcome everybody's opinions and comments. At the same time, I am there 24/7 to wait for your "Hi's", your complaints, or any joke you want to share. If you have a question about school or life in general, please feel free to let me know.

Internal Vice President: Hi Everybody!! My name is Sandy Lu. I am honoured to be the Internal Vice President of 17th UBCTA, the club that has served our members for many years. In fact, I feel a bit anxious as I know I will have a lot of responsibility. But I believe I can fulfill this duty because I have so much passion for our club. I am proud of having this opportunity to continuously serve our members. In this coming year, let's work together to make TA better and better!

Technical Vice President: Hey everyone, my name is Sam Lin, this year's TA17's Technical VP! I will actually enter the middle of my second year at UBC majoring in Computer Science in September, as I am currently away on a co-op term. I was fortunate enough to have joined clubs in university, as it makes it a lot less boring! Being a technical staff of a club is not easy: you get bossed around by executives who need posters done or emails sent out, you have to meet deadlines, you communicate a LOT with members virtually, AND, you have no life at all but to click at "Get latest posts" on the club forums. Just kidding! I love to do all these things (which is why we get called geeks :-P) One thing is for sure though: you get to meet with many new friends with similar interests! Most of the time I am on the go, on the bus, or taking photos around the campus, so if you see me, be sure to say hello! Thanks!

Treasurer: Hi, my name is Brian. I am honoured to be the new treasurer of 17th UBCTA. Currently, I am fourth year student and majoring in Microbiology. I like to get to know people and make friends, and please feel free to talk to me anytime. This is my first time to be a senior executive, and I am not only excited but also humble for any feedback. I will do my best to ensure that everyone will enjoy TA events with the most fun and the least payment.
